GRACIE JIU JITSU GLOBAL FEDERATION CERTIFIED ACADEMY

Mastery in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can only be achieved through dedicated practice over a long period of time. It is then of utmost importance to us that we offer a safe environment for you to learn and grow, such that you can have longevity in the sport to foster this gradual acquisition of mastery.

We do not want you injuring yourself or anyone else. People have paid money to be on the mat and should be able to continue with minimised risk. Further, injury doesn’t just impact time spent on the mat. When someone is injured, that injury continues after the class, into the rest of their life: it has to be taken to home and to work, if work can even still be continued.

We do all we can to reduce the risk of injury, including being selective with who can train: we are a members-only club.

We operate a 3-strikes-and-out policy. If within any 12 month period or shorter, your name is mentioned 3 times involving an injury to a training partner, you may be asked to leave the club, regardless of intentions.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for ‘rough rolling’ or people putting their ego before someone else’s safety and enjoyment on the mat.
